How to play RoChess! on Roblox

You play RoChess! through the Roblox client. The experience is free to join and the server cap on the API is 50.

Where to play

The listing is RoChess! on Roblox. Roblox’s supported-devices article names PC, Mac, ChromeOS, mobile, Xbox, and VR, and says Linux is not supported. That is a Roblox platform list, not a RoChess-only port list. There is no separate APK or Steam build in the store checks logged on 27 Oct 2026.

The creator’s own tip in the description is to start with an easy bot if you are new to chess, then work up. That path is on bots.

What the description says you can do

  • Rated games across 9 time controls. The nine presets are not printed. A Medal.tv page, in our 27 Oct notes, mentioned Bullet 1, Blitz 3 and 5, Rapid 10, and Puzzle. That is one page, not the official nine.
  • Game Review with accuracy, brilliant moves, and blunders. A pass named Infinite Game Review! is for sale. The free limit is not stated.
  • An analysis board with a live engine. The engine name is not in the description. “Vortex” is a third-party nickname; see bots.
  • Leaderboards for Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, and Puzzles.
  • 20,000+ rated puzzles and 3,800+ recognised openings.

Rating math is on Elo. Puzzle counts that disagree are on puzzles.

A careful first hour

Join from the Roblox page, play a bot the menu marks as easier, then try a puzzle before a rated human game. I cannot confirm the button labels beyond the RobloxDen crops on the codes page, which show Shop and Codes, not the play menu. A Roblox Radar video uploaded 17 Oct 2026 also talks about easy bots before rated games. Watch it from the player on this page after you click, so the video host is not loaded up front.

Can I play RoChess! in a browser on this site?

No. The Roblox page does not allow embedding, and there is no official web build to host.

Is it on mobile?

Roblox supports mobile devices. RoChess! is a Roblox experience, so it follows that app. There is no separate RoChess app in the checks we logged.

What are the 9 time controls?

The official text says nine exist. It does not list the nine times. One Medal page listed a few clocks. That list stays single-source.

Is Game Review free?

A review feature is in the description. An Infinite Game Review pass is for sale. The free allowance is not published.

Is there an unblocked version?

Not as a separate official client. If Roblox is blocked on a network, this site cannot route around that.
